It was a Hanukkah gathering named Chanukah by the Sea, to which hundreds of families and members of the community attended but got terror struck when two gunmen opened fire and people were terrified and horrified.
Police called the incident a terrorist attack and it has hit the country right at the core considering its magnitude, its purpose and the number of people who were victims.

The shooters were identified by the police as a father and a 24-year-old son (named in the local news as Sajid Akram (50) and Naveed Akram (24).
Improved explosive devices (IEDs) were also discovered by investigators on the scene and in a vehicle suspected to be connected to the shooters, but these did not go off.
The security agencies in Australia and the New South Wales Police referred to the Bondi Beach shooting as a terrorist attack, which was affected by antisemitism and hunted a religious group during a religious celebration.
Prime minister Anthony Albanes described the act as evil and an attack on national values and vowed to take even greater action against extremist violence.
The attack is among the bloodiest shootings in Australia in almost 30 years that reflects the magnitude of previous national tragedies.
