Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
An applicant should be a Bachelor of any discipline in a reputable university. Last-year students can be applied on a provisional basis and should provide certification of graduation before December 31, 2025.
Age Limit (as of April 1, 2025):
Minimum: 20 years
Maximum: 28 years
Relaxation as per government norms for OBC, SC/ST, PwBD, Ex-servicemen, etc.

Vacancies on a state-level are not yet published in full detail yet, however, some of the states with the high demand are Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar.
Selection Process
Preliminary Exam (Prelims) Includes a Reasoning part as well as the Numerical Ability part and the English with a total of 100 marks.
Main Exam (Mains) It is made up of papers such as Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, General/Financial Awareness and Reasoning and Computer Aptitude (a total of 200 marks).
Language Proficiency Test (LPT) Applicants have to prove that they have command over the local language of the applied region.
A round interview does not exist. These exams and LPT are the basis on which a final selection is made.
Salary & Allowances
The SBI Clerks are offered competitive in hand salaries approximated to be 35000-45000 INR p.m. that varies depending on the location of working and the allowances. The salary package is usually composed of the following:

They are also given internal promotion opportunities or opportunities to rise to Scale I positions (e.g. PO) once they have passed internal examinations.
Exam Status & Result Update
Prelims Exam was conducted earlier in 2025.
Mains Exams took place on April 10 and 12, 2025.
The Mains Result was published on June 11, 2025, along with cut-offs. Qualified candidates are now moving to Document Verification (DV).

“In 2023 Meghalaya prelims cut-off is ~34 mains ~72. As there will be fewer cut-offs this year, general cut-offs can be expected to be in the 50s range.”
